Activities

NSS is a student centered programme and is complementary to education. It inculcated the sprit of voluntary work among students through sustained community interaction. It brings our academic institutions closer to the society. The overall aim of NSS is the personality development of students through community service. National service scheme popularly known as NSS was formally launched on 24 Sep, 1969 the birth centenary of the father of the nation.

In Adam’s Engineering College, the NSS Unit was started in the year 2000. Since its inception it has been conducting various social activities. In the academic year 2011-2012, the NSS unit has conducted all the regular activities and special camp programme. First it has enrolled 120 students plantation at college Boys hostel. It has planted nearly 80 plants in the hostel premises, the NSS unit has conducted blood donation campo in the college donating 160 units of blood, the NSS volunteers have also donated 80 units of blood at KTPS hostel on police commemoration day (21.10.2011) the NSS unit has also celebrated National Youth day, volunteers day, NSS day, Engineers day. The unit is regularly conducting various competitions like Essay Writing, Elocution , Singing in order to improve the English language and communication skills in students.

The NSS unit is actively conducting all the regular activities and special camp activities every year as per the schedule given by NSS, JNTUH.

The NSS unit has the plans of increasing more no of activities in the coming years brining students closer to the community and understanding the community problems, solving in technical way.
