
The ECE department is indeed fortunate to have an excellent team of faculty members, and support staff members who are committed to the cause of quality technical education with patience, hard work, skill and sincerity. The department has well-equipped laboratories to cater to the needs of the JNTU curriculum effectively. These laboratories have been meticulously planned and all these laboratories have state-of-the-art equipment: The Electronic Computer Aided Design laboratory has latest software like PSPICE and VHDL which enables the students to analyze and design electronic circuits in a creative manner.
The faculty members of this department play an active role in college activities like conducting ISTE programs, administering SONET and e-Class Room, Video Teleconference Systems, and supporting Digital Library. The department has good inter-personal relationships amongst its faculty and students, and personal counseling is an integral part of the department's teaching program. The department library serves as a ready source of information to our faculty members to strengthen their hold on the university curriculum. The students of this branch are also taking an active role in sports like basketball and cricket. One of our students has secured 93.7% in the recent JNTU Examinations. Several students have participated in paper-presentations, seminars, and technical quizzes. It is a matter of pride to the department that its alumni have occupied enviable positions in reputed organizations like BSNL, Reliance, L&T, and several others. Some of them are pursuing higher education in IISc, Bangalore, IIIT, Pune and in esteemed universities in US, UK, Germany, and Australia.
With advancements and technological innovations in Electronics being felt in areas as diverse as commercial communication, medicine and defence, quality education in Electronics and Communication is gaining increasing importance.
The Programme trains students in the broad areas of communication, microelectronics, and signal processing. It strives to contribute to the technological goals through quality teaching.

The Department has a state-of-the-art Microwave Engineering Laboratory in addition to well-equipped laboratories in the areas of Electron Devices, Communication, Electronic Instrumentation, and Integrated Circuits. Facilities to work in the fields of Fibre Optics and Digital Signal Processing are also available. A separate computing facility has been established to carry out project work and design jobs taken up by the Department.
An imported 1.8 GHz HP Spectrum Analyzer for analysis of electronic signals, a 4m dish antenna for satellite communication systems, and an optical fibre communication set-up are available.
