mechThe department of  Mechanical engg. offers BTech program in Mechanical Engineering. The students of AEC, Mech. Engg. have been consistently securing national ranks in the GATE examinations and are well placed in all the premier institutes of the India and Aboard through GRE/TOEFL/CAT.

The alumni of AEC Mech. Engg have been established themselves in various organizations in India and aboard. Good number of them is successful in entrepreneurial ventures.

The department is well equipped  with various state of art  laboratories which includes fully computerized CAD lab with latest software’s. Also the department of Mechanical engineering is planning to introduce Master Degree (ME/MTech).

The department is providing various facilities for faculty development viz. Short term courses/conferences, summer/winter schools.

One of the founding departments established in 1998 by the Adam's Engineering College, the Mechanical Engineering Department is a model department at the Adam's Engineering College, with qualified, dedicated faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.

AEC's curriculum is designed to meet current industrial requirements with an emphasis on industrial interaction and applied engineering.

Objective

To train competent mechanical engineers and enable them to meet the technological challenges and diverse needs of industry and society in various areas of Mechanical Engineering, and equip them to excel in a global industry.

Infrastructure

  • mech Excellent state-of-the-art CAD/CAM centres and special courses conducted on CAD and CAM are conducive for an education at AEC that goes well beyond the curriculum.
  • The Thermal Engineering Laboratory, a sophisticated Instrumentation Laboratory, the Metallurgy Laboratory, a well-equipped Machine Shop and Workshop as well as Dynamics.
  • Heat Transfer and Metrology Laboratories provide students a comprehensive range of facilities which enables them to have considerable hands-on experience.

Special Features

  • The Department organizes workshops, training prorgammes and symposia regularly, in collaboration with institutions at home and around.
  • Frequent visits to industry and all-India educational tour from part of the programme, giving students a wide exposure.
  • All undergraduate students also undergo a 6-week industrial training programme to gain vital practical and working knowledge.
