Adam's Engineering College - Institute of Excellence

An Institute of Excellence

The pride of Adam’s Engineering College is its splendid computing centre, a multicrore facility spread over 1,20,000 sq.ft. These computing facilities make it one of the most technologically sophisticated campuses in Andhra Pradesh. A CAD facility with the latest software is another special feature.

To create dynamic environment that facilitates interaction and dialogue has always been the goal of AEC. The institute encourages its faculty in their research projects and provides active support in publishing textbooks, within India and abroad, besides facilitating their continual all-round growth through programmes organized at the Academic Staff College on campus.

Academic initiatives of excellence include

  • Quality Circles – comprising faculty members and a few student representatives – in every class. Periodic meetings are held to solve classroom-related issues, bring out the best in the teachers and students and, ultimately, enhance the teaching-learning process

  • Motivation strategies that are relevant and effective are followed. For example, there are rewards for teachers for their academic excellence and research capabilities and encouragement to departments to argument their facilities

  • Open Door Policy of the management helps ensure transparency in administration and in boosting the confidence levels of the staff and students

  • Excellence in co-curricular and extracurricular activities is encouraged among students to mould them into well-rounded personalities

  • Department Advisory Committees ensure high standards for the academic programmes

  • Scholarships and Awards worth Rs 25,000/- to Rs 30,000/- are offered by the institute to deserving students every year

  • An active Student Council coordinates with the Academic Council and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell to effectively provide inputs that lead to better management and utilization of resources available

  • Industry exposure is provided periodically every semester to students, to be in tune with the practical world. All B.Tech students undergo six weeks of industrial training before completion of their respective courses

  • Active networks are formed by student chapters like ISTE, CSI, etc. which help students in meeting industrialists

  • In tune with the national agenda, students are encouraged and trained in environmental systems, economic studies, professional ethics and also in the history of India’s Independence Movement

    Much that’s Special

The Adam’s Engineering College has consistently aimed at incorporating features of excellence in its campus – academic, infrastructural and environmental. Every effort is made in these directions to improve on existing best practices in these fields. The Management and Staff at AEC take great care to ensure that the institute serves as an exemplary role model for other educational institutions across the state.

Not only has AEC accommodated these features of excellence, but it has also added value to them by matching them with the expectations of the resident student community and staff. AEC’s position of excellence among educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh is primarily because of these unique features, and the pride the staff and students feel in maintaining it this way – as one of the best.

    Video Conferencing

Interaction with national / foreign professors is made easy by the video conferencing facility at AEC. Subject experts gave lectures and interacted with participants at AEC, using video conferencing facility.
